Choosing your mats

Which snow-melting mat should I choose?

Start with the surface dimensions and layout. Walkway and stair mats are available for connected setups; the longer ramp models are standalone mats. Compare dimensions, included components and power requirements on the product page. Our snow-mat guide links to each option.

What size garage mat do I need?

Measure the floor area you want to cover, then check your vehicle or equipment footprint and the space you need to walk around it. Compare those measurements with the selected product's width and length. See our garage-mat guide for a measuring checklist.

What is the difference between Diamond Plate and Coin Grip?

Both are PVC garage mats. Diamond Plate has a raised tread-plate pattern and comes in Black and Silver Gray. Coin Grip has a round-stud pattern and comes in Black. Compare the product photos to choose your preferred appearance.

Can I request a custom size or volume order?

Yes. Send a quote request with the mat type, dimensions and units, quantity, intended use and delivery location. Feasibility and timing are confirmed for your project.

Snow-mat setup and care

Do I need a separate power cord?

Check the option and included components before ordering. A mat-only option needs a compatible power connection. The GFCI power cord and mat cable extender serve different purposes: an extender does not replace the power cord.

Can I connect several mats together?

Compatible connectable models can be combined within their approved electrical and connection limits. Standalone ramp mats use a different setup. Follow the instructions for the exact models you choose; contact us with the model names and quantities if you need help planning.

When should I switch on a snow-melting mat?

Follow the product instructions. Starting before snowfall gives the mat time to warm up. Accumulated snow takes time to melt, and results depend on snowfall and weather conditions. Check the mat and surrounding walking surfaces during use.

Can heated mats be cut to fit?

No. Heated snow-melting mats contain electrical heating elements and must never be cut, trimmed or modified. Ask about the right size before ordering.

How should I store heated mats?

Disconnect power and allow the mats to dry. Clean according to the product instructions, then store in a cool, dry place. Keep the cords and connectors with the matching mat so they are ready for the next season.

Garage-mat fitting and care

How do I fit a garage mat?

Unroll it and allow it to relax flat. PVC garage mats can be trimmed to fit, but check your measurements first: cut, trimmed, installed or used mats cannot be returned. This applies to PVC garage mats only; never cut a heated mat.

How do I clean a garage mat?

Sweep loose dirt away and clean with mild detergent as needed. Follow the product's care guidance and remove spills promptly.

Orders, returns and warranty

Where can I check delivery information?

Review the shipping information for the selected product and the delivery options shown at checkout. If your order is oversized, custom or time-sensitive, contact us with the product and destination before ordering.

What is your returns policy?

Standard products have a 30-day return window from delivery, subject to the full returns policy. Contact us for authorization before sending anything back. Change-of-mind return shipping is the customer's responsibility; opened but unused mats are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Cut, trimmed, installed or used mats are not returnable. Custom and made-to-order mats are final sale.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Email seal@warmseal.net with your order number and photos within 30 days of delivery. The returns policy explains how damaged, defective and incorrect items are handled. Please contact us before shipping an item back.

What warranty do SEAL products carry?

SEAL products carry a 2-Year Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects. Misuse and improper installation are excluded. For help with a warranty question, contact us with your order number, model and a description of the issue.

My heated mat is not working. What should I do?

Follow the troubleshooting and GFCI instructions supplied with your model. Do not use a damaged mat, cord or connector, or attempt to repair the heating element. Contact us with the model, order number and a description of what is happening so we can help with the next step.

SEAL heated mats are electric snow-melting mats for stairs and walkways. A heating element is sealed inside commercial-grade rubber, so the mat melts snow and ice on contact — no shoveling, no salt, and no damage to the surface underneath. They're designed to stay outside all winter.

There's nothing to install. Lay the mats where you need them, connect them to the GFCI power cord, and plug into a standard 120V outdoor outlet.

Before, ideally. When the mat is already warm, snow melts as it lands and the surface stays clear through the storm. If you turn it on after snowfall, it will still work — it just needs time to melt through the accumulated snow first.

SEAL mats melt approximately 2 to 2-1/2 inches of snow per hour under typical winter conditions. Heavier, wetter snow melts more slowly than light powder.

Yes. The rubber construction is built for continuous outdoor exposure through the season, so there's no need to bring them in between storms. To save electricity, we recommend powering them only during and after snowfall by using a remote outlet.

Yes — mats are available as "mat only" add-ons that connect in series to a single GFCI power cord. Do not exceed 13 amps per cord.

Yes, when used as directed. The heating element is fully sealed within the rubber mat — rated IPX6 against water ingress — and the GFCI power cord cuts power instantly if it detects a current fault.

No — the rubber surface has a raised, slip-resistant texture that provides grip even as snow melts.

Once the season ends, unplug and let the mats dry completely, wipe them down with mild detergent, then roll them up and store in a cool, dry place until next winter.

Measure your vehicle's length and add walking room on the sides you use most. As a quick guide: 4–5 ft widths suit golf carts, workbenches, and ATVs; 6×8 and 6×10 fit sedans, workshops, and mowers; 6×15 and 6×20 fit SUVs and full-length sedan coverage; 8×20 is sized for pickup trucks and large SUVs. When in doubt, size up — extra coverage protects the floor where you actually step out.

Texture and look. Both are made from the same commercial-grade PVC; Diamond Plate has a classic raised tread-plate pattern, while Coin Grip has a round-stud pattern. Choose whichever fits your garage's style — protection is identical.

Yes. SEAL mats are commercial-grade PVC, built for daily parking — including full-size pickups on the 8×20. Rolling loads, foot traffic, and shop equipment are exactly what they're made for.

Yes — that's the job. The water-resistant PVC surface keeps slush, road salt, and drips off your concrete, then wipes clean. It also covers existing stains and cracks instantly.

Roll it out and let it relax flat — no adhesive, no tools.

Yes. If your space needs a custom fit, trim the mat with a sharp utility knife and a straightedge — a few light passes work better than one deep cut. Normal trimming does not affect your warranty.

Sweep or hose it off, or mop with mild detergent for oil and grime. The textured surface hides everyday dirt between cleanings.

All SEAL products are covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty. Warranties cover manufacturing defects; damage from misuse or improper installation is excluded.

Unused mats in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery — just email us for a return authorization first. Because our mats are large, heavy items, return shipping on change-of-mind returns is the customer's responsibility, and opened-but-unused mats are subject to a 20% restocking fee. If anything arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, that's on us: send a photo and we'll replace it or refund you in full, in most cases without asking you to ship anything back. Mats that have been cut, trimmed, or installed can't be returned — but they remain covered by your limited warranty.

Texture and look. Both are made from the same commercial-grade PVC; Diamond Plate has a classic raised tread-plate pattern, while Coin Grip has a round-stud pattern. Choose whichever fits your garage's style — protection is identical.
